Cream Cheese Shell Pasta

Veggie Creamy Pasta that’s tasty and ready in a jiffy and makes a perfect last minute meal !!

Pasta cooked in olive oil is mixed with creamy sauce and loaded with veggies making a good meal for the kids !!!

Ingredients (Serves 3)

Preparation time – 10 mins
Cooking time – 20 mins
  • Pasta – 3 cups
  • Onion – 1, cut into pieces
  • Garlic – 4 big cloves, cut into pieces
  • Bell Peppers (All colors) – 1 cup, chopped
  • Mushroom – 6 buttons, chopped
  • Olive oil – as needed
  • Salt – as needed
Pasta Sauce
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Cream Cheese – 180 g
  • Milk – 1/4 cup
  • Dried Oregano – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as needed

Steps

  • In a pan, boil water, add salt and few drops of olive oil.
  • Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Switch off, drain water and wash in running water.
  • In another pan, add 1 tbsp of olive oil.
  • Add onion, garlic and sauté till transparent.
  • Add the mushrooms, salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now add the bell peppers and sauté till they are cooked yet crunchy. Set them aside.
  • To prepare the sauce, add butter to the pan.
  • Add the cream cheese and whisk them till smooth.
  • Add the milk and whisk well.
  • Now add the dried oregano, salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Add the veggies to the sauce and stir well.
  • Add the pasta and toss them.

Transfer to the bowl and enjoy !!!

Key points

  • You can add Parmesan cheese for more cheesy texture.
  • You can add vegetables of your choice to the pasta or can have it plain too.
